New Challenge Blog Community for Scrapbookers & Paper Crafters & Mixed Media
For quite some time, I've wanted a crafting community to go to that focused on the rough & crazy realities of everyday living and a place that could serve as a sounding board for life's insane and whacky moments....A place to share raw & real artwork that isn't afraid to speak up and say - LIFE'S TOUGH, BUT I'M STILL STANDING!
All the nuts and bolts aren't in place yet, and I'm sure things will come up I haven't though of yet...but I'm confident things will gel together and I'm leaping forward with faith! Sooooo...without further delay, please meet:
THE NEW CHALLENGE BLOG Reality Scraps- a place for the *rest* of us
I will need people to contribute their artwork, a blog moderator, a design team of 6 talented people, monthly guest designers, people to donate give-away prizes and of course sponsors would be GREAT!
If you're interested, please email me here I will be posting a due date for DT applications after Christmas...January-February-ish...Why make the holidays any crazier than they already are?

finding my true colors
Unlike myself, these journal pages have reached a certain state of acceptable completion, the kind that conveys enough of the real deal.

I want to find my true colors and feel that carefree joy once again, which means I have to be willing to shed the armor of avoidance. Feel the joy in life and start marching to that beat...get on that road to just living, breathing and being the real me, each and every day!

To anyone out there who's had your color held captive, your joy stepped on and your beating heart bruised...I suggest this: Shed that armor, throw it all off now! Live each day looking for color and joy! Breathe in and out with big breaths and march off down the joyful, colorful road that is yours alone...
{note this}
For your blogging pleasure I've included a scan which can't scan in full but comes in closer and a camera shot which in fact can get the whole picture, but it's just not close enough! What is the solution to that anyhow? Advice needed!

my monster bag
lost: true colors
While working on these journal pages a question continued to tickle the back of my mind...and so, I felt compelled to post them in-the-raw and incomplete.
Tickle Question: WHERE is that girl in the photo now?
I see a girl in pom-pom sneakers marching down the street, paying no mind that those on the sidelines of life are watching her boldly twirl her shiny baton through confident fingers, all while wearing a toweringly tall and feathered hat...
My pages lay incomplete, much like myself. They ask of me difficult questions only a half finished page can bring:
Where did this girl's color go? When did she become aware of those staring on the sidelines? Why did she find it necessary to shield herself with the armor of avoidance? At what pivotal moment did she bow out of living for a colorful moment? Was it all at once or a slow, miserable leak?
In reality there are no easy answers, only speculations and small suspicions...
So, for now, I'm pondering and wondering...seeking and searching. And that's ok. Isn't that what a journal is all about anyway?
